Department, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University, Gurugram organized a training on
preparation of MP slides and collection of MP slides on the occasion of World
Malaria Day “theme: Time to deliver zero malaria, innovation, invest, implementation
– A MP Slide collection Drive” at Rajkiya Varishtha Madhyamik Vidyalaya, village
Garhi Harsaru – Gurugram, on 24 th and 25th April 2023 from 10:00AM to 12:30 pm.
The aim of this training is to draw MP slides without error & to identify the cases of
malaria for prompt intervention. The programme also targeted to spread awareness
among the school children regarding prevention of malaria and make aware the
initiatives by govt. in malaria preventive measures and control malaria cases.
The training programme was conducted for ANM and B.Sc. Nursing Internship
students to prepare MP slides for suspected cases from government Rajkiya
Varishtha Madhyamik Vidyalaya. The programme included training on malaria slide
preparation by District Malaria Health inspector and distribution of Awareness
pamphlets related to eradication of malaria.
Role play was performed by ANM students for spreading awareness regarding
Malaria symptoms, prevention and control .The program was highly acknowledged
and appreciated by the Principal of government Rajkiya Varishtha Madhyamik
Vidyalaya. Garhi Harsaru village. We are thankful to District Malaria Health inspector
(Mr.Raj Kapoor) and Principal (Mr. Pyare Lal Kataria ) government Rajkiya Varishtha
Madhyamik Vidyalaya or their support and collaboration for the successful
organization of “World Malaria Day – 24 th and 25th April 2023”.
The world malaria day was organized by ANM & 4 th Year B.Sc. Nursing (Internship)
students with coordination of Ms. Kalpana mohan (Assistant professor), and Mr.
Naveen Vats (PG Tutor) under guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sunil K. Dular, H.O.D,
Community Health Nursing Department and Dean,Prof. (Dr.) Pity Koul, Faculty of
Nursing SGT University.
