๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง under ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ andย Holistic care Associatinย underย Medical Surgical Nursing Departmentย ofย ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ , in collaboration withย Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ,ย andย SGT Hospitalย ย organized a Diabetes Screening Camp and Health Awareness Programme under the theme โEducation to Protect Tomorrowโโ in auspicious presence of Mrs. Anju Bala (Sarpanch) on November 14th, 2022ย from 11 am โ 2 pmย on the occasion of World Diabetes Day at Village Khera -Khurrampur, CHC Farrukhnagar, Gurugram. The main objective was Diabetic screening and assessment along with health awareness talk including Nutritional assessment of Type II Diabetic patients.
The program was started with the welcome note by Ms. Deepa Mukherjee with sequence of activities followed as Registration, Health assessment, Eye Check-up, Cataract Screening, lab investigations, Diabetic Education Programme and Diet Exhibition, Identification of borderline Hyperglycemic Population, emphasizing on Diabetic management and bringing awareness on prevention of Diabetes Mellitus & its complications.
A total of 63 community people participated in the health camp.ย The students participated in the health camp were M.Sc. Nursing & B.Sc. Nursing 4thย year students under the supervision Faculty of Community Health Nursing Department & Faculty of Medical Surgical Nursing Department under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Kumar Dular, HOD of Community Health Nursing & Prof. (Dr.) Jasmin Debora, HOD of medical Surgical Nursing Department, in coordination with Dr. Raja Ram Agarwal Assistant professor, General Physician, SGT Hospital & Dr. Ashwini (optometry) Allied Health Sciences, SGTU.
The program was highly acknowledged and appreciated by Village Sarpanch- Ms. Anju bala and also by the village people. We are thankful to the primary school khurrampur for providing us with the space and for their immense support and collaboration in the successful organization of this program.
