Delhi: CISF Jawan Commits Suicide by Shooting Himself at Metro Station

A CISF constable stationed for security at Nangloi Metro Station in New Delhi committed suicide on Thursday. According to reports, he shot himself with his service rifle. Apart from the Delhi Police, paramilitary forces are investigating the case.

Officials reported that the incident occurred around 7 a.m. The deceased jawan, Shahre Kishore‘s body, was recovered near the X-ray baggage scanner.

As per information, the constable joined the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in 2014. Officials revealed that preliminary investigations suggest that the jawan deployed in the CISF unit responsible for securing the Delhi Metro used his service weapon to end his life. Besides the Delhi Police, paramilitary forces are probing the matter.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first instance of a jawan committing suicide by shooting himself. Similar incidents have been reported before.

Jharkhand: CRPF Jawan Committed Suicide

Last month, in Jharkhand’s Chatra district, a 32-year-old CRPF jawan allegedly shot himself with his service rifle, resulting in his death. According to officials, the incident occurred at a CRPF picket approximately 200 kilometers away from the state capital, Ranchi, in the Vashishth Nagar area.
