Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University holds oral health screening program Monday at Royal International Residential School, Khara Kheri, Fatehabad

The Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening program on Monday at Royal International Residential School, Khara Kheri, Fatehabad, Haryana in collaboration with Marketing Team, SGTU. The location of the school was a good 192 km from the campus. The Dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon (Prof. & Head). The Dental team was headed by Dr. Meenakshi Chopra (Associate Professor) along with 3 Interns (Jyoti, Akhil and Kalpana) and 1 Attendant Mr. Sunil. The camp started at 10:30 am and continued till 2:30 pm. 270 students were examined. Oral Health Education was imparted regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through brushing techniques, models and charts. The session was concluded by giving an oral health education speech to the participated people. The purpose of the Oral Health talk was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care. Students who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further treatment. While in this camp a team from SGT Marketing & Admissions also integrated with students for their career counseling-related views.
