The Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labour and Employment distributes degrees at SGT University

Gurugram: Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University organised its 9th Convocation from January 23 to 25, 2023. Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labour and Employment Mr. Bhupendra Yadav was the Chief Guest of the opening day of the convocation. In his convocation address, the Minister said that the world is moving fast and the biggest challenge in front of the world today is climate change. In such a situation, it is our responsibility to change our lifestyle and have an environment-friendly approach towards a better future.
Mr. Bhupendra Yadav while referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that
An eco-friendly lifestyle is a mantra for a sustainable environment.
Congratulating the students while conferring degrees at the convocation, Mr. Yadav said that to move ahead in life,’’ we need to inculcate leadership skills, have a sense of social responsibility, and be innovative and consistent in learning.
The convocation ceremony was duly inaugurated by Padma Shri Ram Bahadur Rai,
Chancellor of SGT University. On this occasion, other dignitaries present at the event were Mrs. Sangeeta Jaitley, Managing Director of Shri Arun Jaitley Foundation, Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, Managing Trustee Shri Manmohan Singh Chawla, Vice Chancellor Dr. O. P. Kalra, Registrar Dr. Joginder Yadav, member of SGT University Governing Body Mr. Rajkumar Bhatia, officials of the university, teachers, and students.
In the first phase of the convocation degrees of MBBS, MD and MS were conferred to
students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and those who completed their Ph.D. in various subjects. Apart from this, eminent journalist and member of the Prasar Bharati Board, Mr. Ashok Kumar Tandon was also awarded D.Litt. (Honoris Causa). In the second phase of the ceremony, degrees were awarded to students of SGT Dental
College, Hospital and Research Institute, Ayurveda, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of
Physiotherapy and Faculty of Law. The chief guest for the second phase of the ceremony was Prof. Vice Chancellor, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, New Delhi, Mr. Ramesh K Goyal.

On the second day of the 9th Annual Convocation Ceremony. The chief guest was Prof. Ramesh K Goyal, Vice Chancellor, Delhi pharmaceutical sciences and research university and the guest of honor was Dr. Rajeev Gautam, President, HORIBA India Pvt. Limited. The students from various faculties, Law, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Dental, and Indian Medical Systems were awarded their degrees.

At last, congratulating the students on the third and last day of the ninth
convocation ceremony of SGT University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Anita Saxena of  Pt. B.D. Sharma University Health Sciences, Rohtak said that career choices should never
be made under pressure from anyone.
While addressing the students she said success is guaranteed if the right career choice is made. She also advised the students to be dedicated to whatever line of work they choose but it should be relevant to their interests. She said that one should never be afraid of failures in life because the way to success can be found only through failures. Prof. Saxena was addressing the students at the Convocation Ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The special guest of the event, Dr. Rajesh Jain, Chairman, and Managing Director,
Panacea Biotech Ltd. (New Delhi) said that SGT University is a good platform with
varied courses. He also advised the students to never give up in life. He said that
research, creative values, and the spirit of innovation are necessary for every walk of life.

At the beginning of the event, Vice Chancellor, Dr. O. P. Kalra welcomed the guests
and presented the annual report of the university. A souvenir of the university was also
released on the occasion.
The convocation ceremony was duly inaugurated by Padma Shri Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, Chancellor of SGT University. On this occasion, the Chairperson of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Managing Trustee Mr. Manmohan Singh Chawla, Registrar Dr. Joginder Yadav including Controller of Examinations, University officials, teachers, students, and their parents were present.
Degrees were awarded to students of the Faculty of  Allied Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences, Fashion and Design, Agricultural Sciences, Commerce and Management, Engineering and Technology, Education, Hotel and Tourism Management, Science, and Mass Communication. Apart from this, gold medals were also awarded to the meritorious students of various faculties.
