Haryana Assembly Elections 2024: JJP and Azad Samaj Party Alliance Releases First List of 19 Candidates

September 6, 2024 — The alliance between the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) has unveiled its initial lineup of candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly Elections 2024. On Wednesday, top leaders from both parties announced the first list, which includes 19 candidates vying for seats in the 90-member Haryana legislative assembly.

 

Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and JJP leader, Dushyant Chautala, has been confirmed as the party’s candidate for the Uchana constituency. Chautala’s candidacy is seen as a strategic move to secure a key position in the upcoming elections.

The JJP released a preliminary list of 15 candidates on Tuesday, featuring prominent names such as Dushyant Chautala and Digvijay Chautala. Digvijay Chautala is set to contest from Dabwali as a JJP candidate, reinforcing the party’s commitment to retaining its stronghold in the region.

The Azad Samaj Party, part of the alliance, has named four candidates in this initial list. The strategic coalition aims to make a significant impact in the upcoming polls, which are scheduled for October 5. The final date for nominations is September 12, with vote counting set for October 8.

As the election date approaches, major parties including BJP and Congress are also finalizing their candidate lists, intensifying the political landscape in Haryana. The JJP and Azad Samaj Party alliance’s early announcement signals their readiness to engage in a competitive electoral battle.
