Haryana’s Sporting Spirit Soars: Annual Sports Calendar 2025-26 Released – Check Full Schedule

Great news for athletes and sports enthusiasts in Haryana! The Department of Sports, Haryana, has officially released the annual sports calendar for the year 2025-26. This calendar includes a variety of state-level competitions in sports like wrestling, boxing, volleyball, athletics, badminton, and marathon events, giving young athletes a chance to showcase their talent and prepare for national and international stages.

State-Level Competitions from May 16, 2025

The competitions will kick off on May 16, 2025, with the State Akhada Dangal in Panchkula, where top wrestlers will display their strength and skills. The calendar runs through February 2026, concluding with the much-anticipated Gurugram Marathon.

Major Events and Venues:

  • May 16–18, 2025: State Akhada Dangal – Panchkula

  • June 6–8, 2025: State Boxing Championship

  • July 4–6, 2025: State Volleyball Tournament – Panchkula

  • July 18–20, 2025: State Athletics Meet – Karnal

  • February 23, 2026: Gurugram Marathon

Other key competitions include swimming in Ambala, badminton in Panchkula (August), CM Cup in September, and taekwondo and gymnastics in October. Marathons will also be held in Gurugram and Faridabad to promote fitness across communities.

New Initiative: Mobile App for Athletes

In a step toward digital empowerment, the department is also developing a mobile application that will provide athletes with detailed information about sports events, dates, and venues, helping them prepare more efficiently.

Boosting Haryana’s Sports Culture

District Sports Officer Rampal Hooda expressed confidence in the talent of Haryana’s youth. He stated that this calendar will not only enhance competitiveness but also nurture athletes for prestigious platforms like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games.

With consistent performances and state support, Haryana continues to shine as a sporting powerhouse. The 2025-26 calendar is set to inspire the next generation of champions.
