Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurate ESI Healthcare building at Panchkula  

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Labour and Employment Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Directorate ESI Healthcare Department, Haryana at Sector 14, Panchkula today. With the construction of this building, better administrative facilities will be made available to the insured persons of Haryana as well as the North region.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister and the Union Minister also laid the foundation stone of ESI Dispensary at Sonipat’s Rai and Barhi. At present, the number of ESI-insured persons in Haryana is 25 lakh.

Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment  Rameshwar Teli, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta, Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Revenue, Anoop Dhanak and MLA Rai, Mohan Lal Badoli were also present on the occasion.

Insured ESI beneficiaries can also avail the facility in hospitals of the Haryana Health Department

Addressing the mediapersons after the inauguration, Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar said that with the opening of the newly constructed regional office of ESI in Panchkula, the administrative activities of ESI-insured persons of Haryana as well as Punjab, Himachal and other states, would be carried out smoothly. “Better health facilities are being provided to the beneficiaries through ESI in the state.  Commendable work has been done in this field in Haryana,” he added.

He said that earlier work was done separately by ESI and Haryana Health Department, but last year it was decided with mutual consent that besides the insured persons, other people can also get their treatment done in ESI hospitals. Similarly, the insured ESI beneficiaries can also avail of the facility of treatment in the hospitals of the Haryana Health Department.

Health check-ups of all citizens once every two years started under Nirogi Haryana Yojana

Khattar said that the year 2023 is being celebrated as ‘Antyodaya Arogya Varsh’ by the state government. “Under the Nirogi Haryana Yojana, health check-ups of all the citizens have been started once every two years; to obtain details regarding their health. Expanding the Ayushman scheme, CHIRAYU Yojana has been implemented under which 29 lakh families with an annual income of upto Rs 1.80 lakh would be given free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh in empanelled government and private hospitals,” he said, adding that new categories of beneficiaries would also be included soon under CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana.

Cath lab facility started for the first time in ESIC Medical College, Faridabad

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav said that after the establishment of ESI Dispensary in Rai, Sonipat, 1,06,440 beneficiaries including 28,010 insured and their families of industrial area Rai, Nathupur, Wazidpur Saboli, Bahalgarh will be benefited.

Similarly, with the formation of ESI Dispensary Barhi, Ganaur, and Sonipat, 31,720 beneficiaries including 8,347 insured persons and their families of industrial areas up to Barhi, Ganaur and Samalkha will be covered. “With the cooperation of the Haryana government, the construction work of ESI hospitals in Manesar and Bawal is going on at a fast pace. Apart from this, ESI hospitals will also be set up in Rohtak, Ambala, Sonipat and Hisar,” said the Union Minister.

He said that for the first time, the facility of cath lab has also been started in ESIC Medical College, Faridabad last year. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav also visited the health camp set up under the health scheme of ESI and inquired about various health facilities being provided to ESI registered beneficiaries.

On the occasion, Municipal Corporation Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, vice- chairman, Shivalik Development Board Om Prakash Devinagar, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour, Dr. Raja Sekhar Vundru, Labour Commissioner Sujan Singh, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister KM Pandurang, Deputy Commissioner Mahavir Kaushik, ESI Haryana Director, Dr. Anil Malik, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumer Partap Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khangwal, former Kalka MLA and Treasurer, BJP Rashtriya Mahila Morcha Latika Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
