Haryana Police Initiate Passport and Visa Cancellation for Farmer Protest Disruptors
Reported by Bodheet
In a recent development, the Haryana Police in Ambala district have begun the process of revoking passports and visas of individuals involved in disrupting the Punjab-Haryana border during the farmer agitation. According to Ambala DSP Joginder Singh, action is being taken against those individuals specifically responsible for disturbances during the protests. It’s important to note that not all participants in the farmer agitation are being targeted.
Using modern surveillance methods such as CCTV, drone cameras, and videography, the police have identified those who broke barricades and caused disruptions. This information is being shared with passport authorities and relevant embassies to cancel their travel documents.
The primary objective behind this initiative is to hold accountable those individuals who caused disturbances during the farmer protest in Haryana. Additionally, reports suggest that notices have been issued by the state police to the residences of farmer union leaders, indicating that damages to public and private property during the agitation will be compensated by seizing properties and freezing bank accounts.
