Haryana will organize National Fencing Competition, announces Chief Minister

When it comes to bringing laurel to the country by winning in sports, Haryana always comes on the top. It is the result of Haryana’s continuous progress in sports and recognition of the state as a sports hub that this year the National Fencing Competition will be organized in Sonipat. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced it on Wednesday and launched the Mascot of the competition ‘Shyamu’ and Moto.

The Haryana Fencing Association also felicitated Khattar. Several dignitaries like Sh. Rajeev Mehta- Secretary-General of Indian Olympic Association, Surekha Khatri- Vice President of Fencing Federation of India, Sh. N.K Solanki- President, Haryana Fencing Association, Sh. V.K Beniwal- Vice President, Sh. Jitendra Jaglan- Vice President, and Sh. Ashok Khatri- International Fencing Coach, graced the occasion with their presence.

 It is pertinent to mention that the players of Haryana are consistently shinning at the National and International levels and are bringing laurels to the country. The Sports Policy of the Haryana is also praised continuously. Due to all these efforts, Haryana is known as ‘Sports Hub’. Therefore, earlier this year, Haryana has got a chance to organize ‘Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG)’, and now, the National Fencing Competition will also be organized in Haryana from December 25 to 28, 2021.
