Law On 75% Jobs To Locals Implemented After Consulting Industry: Dushyant
Haryana Government will formulate a special scheme for MSMEs in the state, under which small ‘MSME Industrial Parks’ will be set up in each block to create employment opportunities for the local people and encourage the export of local products.
This information was given by the Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dushyant Chautala during a press conference on Monday. The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the portfolio of the Department of Industries and Commerce along with the Labour and Employment Department, said that Haryana is the first state in the country to have a conclave with 14 countries of the subcontinent of Africa, in which many countries have expressed their desire that the people of Haryana should invest in the field agriculture and industry.
While describing the State Government as public-friendly, Chautala said that on the occasion of Diwali, the State Government provided relief to the people by reducing the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 12. The state has opened new doors of employment for the youth of the state by implementing the ‘Employment to Local Candidates Act, 2020’. Describing this Act as a landmark in the field of employment, he said that all the private companies, trusts, societies etc., have been directed to mention the details of their employees on the ‘Haryana Udyam Memorandum’ portal by January 15, 2022. So far, 16,000 companies have registered themselves. He said that the Act has come into force. He also informed that the survey of industries is being done in four big cities of the state, and after this, survey will be done in the remaining cities as well.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that before implementing the said Act, consultations have been held with various industrial organizations at the state level and at the national level. Clearing the doubts of the people about the ‘Haryana State Employment to Local Candidates Act, 2020’, he further added that startups and new IT companies in the state have been given concession in this Act for two years. He also gave detailed information regarding the monitoring done by the officers related to this Act. He said that ITI, Polytechnic etc., would be upgraded with new technology by Skill Department, Industries Department, Higher Education Department, Technical Education Department so that the industries in the state could get trained skilled youth for employment.
