PM Modi to Unveil ₹7600 Crore Development Projects in Maharashtra
On 9 October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of transformative projects across Maharashtra, valued at over ₹7600 crore. Through video conference, the PM will mark the beginning of key infrastructure developments, including the upgradation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur. This ₹7000 crore project is expected to significantly enhance aviation capacity and stimulate economic growth in manufacturing, tourism, healthcare, and logistics for the Vidarbha region.
In addition, the PM will lay the foundation for a New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport, costing over ₹645 crore. This terminal will elevate the travel experience for religious tourists, with a design inspired by Sai Baba’s spiritual neem tree.
Further enhancing healthcare and education, PM Modi will inaugurate 10 new government medical colleges across Maharashtra. These colleges, located in cities like Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, and Gadchiroli, will not only expand undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats but also deliver specialized healthcare services to the public.
As part of his vision to transform India into the “Skill Capital of the World,” PM Modi will also launch the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) in Mumbai. This cutting-edge institute, a public-private collaboration, will focus on high-tech fields like mechatronics, AI, data analytics, and robotics, providing hands-on training to create an industry-ready workforce.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) in Maharashtra, a unique educational initiative that uses advanced technology to support students, teachers, and administrators. With features like live chatbots, it will provide valuable academic data and resources to enhance teaching practices and improve student learning outcomes.
