Bollywood Royalty Dazzles at Met Gala 2025
The Met Gala 2025 was a global spectacle that celebrated style, culture, and individuality, and this year’s edition saw some of the world’s most iconic celebrities lighting up the blue carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” paid homage to Black fashion excellence and inspired bold and elegant interpretations from stars across continents.
One of the highlights was Shah Rukh Khan’s grand Met debut. The Bollywood superstar stunned in a black-gold Sabyasachi suit with intricate accessories and a signature pendant shaped like the letter K. He made history as the first Indian male actor to attend the Met Gala.
Other notable Indian stars included Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who wowed in a tailored polka-dot dress by Balmain and exquisite Bvlgari jewels. Kiara Advani also debuted at the event, showcasing a black-gold gown with a special heart-shaped embellishment celebrating her pregnancy. Music icon Diljit Dosanjh paid homage to his Punjabi roots in a regal Prabal Gurung creation.
International celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Rosé from BLACKPINK, and others also stunned in looks that blended high fashion with personal expression. The event remains a key fundraiser for the Costume Institute, blending fashion with purpose since 1948.
