SGT College of Pharmacy and the SGT Hospital organize a Health Camp under the theme “Dard-e-Dawa.”

Herbokon Association, SGT College of Pharmacy, and the SGT Hospital organized a “Dard-e-dawa” Health Camp on 7th April 2023 during World Health Day. The objective of the health camp was to make people aware that ‘Self-medication is injurious to health’ and that one should consult a doctor before taking any medicine to prevent any danger to health and to reduce the risk of diseases in people. It was an initiative taken by the SGT College of Pharmacy on patient safety & public health. The Convener of the camp was Dr. Vijay Bhalla, Dean of Sgt College of Pharmacy. Teacher Coordinators were Dr. Farah Deeba, Asst. Prof and Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Asst. Prof. Student Coordinators were Arshnoor Kaur- president; Aditya Sheoran- general secretary; Vivek Kumar- treasurer; and Karan Mehta- event coordinator. SGT College of Pharmacy started an initiative for Patient Safety & Public Health through a campaign on preventing self-medication during the celebration of World Health Day on Friday, April 7th, 2023. Self-Medication is injurious to health. Improved knowledge and understanding of self-medication may result in rational use and thus limit emerging microbial resistance issues. This awareness campaign will be taken at the level of rural, semi-urban, and urban communities under Dr. Vijay Bhalla, dean of SGT College of Pharmacy.
