An Oral Health Screening Program was organized by the department of Public Health
Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University on 6 th April,2023 (Thursday) at MD
Senior Secondary School, Mankrola, Gurugram in collaboration with SGT Publicity Team.
This activity was an extension of the month-long celebration activities on the occasion of
World Oral Health Day, 2023
The dental team was headed by Dr. Meenakshi Chopra (Reader, Dept. of Public Health
Dentistry) along with 2 postgraduate students Dr. Neha (Dept. of Pedodontics), Dr Manmeet
(Dept. of Periodontics) and 6 interns Asha, Komal, Gaurav, Amit, Diksha and Livanshi. Mr.
Sunil (Attendant).
A screening of 251 students was done, which included 108 girls and 143 boys. Postgraduate
students and interns gave excellent oral health presentations to students and staff. Besides
being interesting, it was very informative, which helped the children overcome their fear of
visiting a dentist and answered their queries.
Students received an oral hygiene kit that included toothpaste and a toothbrush. The interns
appreciated the opportunity provided to them and expressed their willingness to participate in
future activities conducted by the department.
The school's administrative team also expressed gratitude and appreciated the efforts of the
dental team in the letter of acknowledgement.
