BJP Fields Ramayan’s Ram Arun Govil from Meerut for Lok Sabha Elections

In a strategic move, BJP has nominated Arun Govil, famed for portraying Lord Ram in Ramayan, as its candidate from Meerut for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This surprising choice reflects BJP’s innovative approach to candidate selection. Additionally, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut enters politics with a BJP nomination from Himachal Pradesh‘s Mandi constituency.

Union Minister Giriraj Singh will contest again from Begusarai, while Nityanand Rai, RK Singh, and Ram Kripal Yadav will contest from Ujiarpur, Arrah, and Patliputra respectively. Ravi Shankar Prasad will contest from Patna Sahib, and Sushil Kumar Singh from Aurangabad.

BJP announced 111 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, with changes like Atul Garg replacing former Union Minister VK Singh in Ghaziabad, and Mithilesh Tiwari nominated instead of Union Minister Ashwini Choubey in Buxar.

Varun Gandhi’s Pilibhit seat goes to Jitin Prasada, while his mother Maneka Gandhi will contest from Sultanpur. Dharmendra Pradhan will contest from Sambalpur, Radha Mohan Singh from Purvi Champaran, and Sanjay Jaiswal from Paschim Champaran.

In Jharkhand’s Dumka, BJP nominated Sita Soren, sister-in-law of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who recently joined BJP.

With this, BJP finalizes candidates for  291 lok Sabha seats, spanning states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Kerala, and Telangana.
