SGT University Celebrates Diwali Fest With Much Zeal & Fervour

With the gleam of auspicious diyas and the holy chants, SGT university  celebrated  Diwali   festival Diwali is just around the corner, and SGT University celebrated the fiesta with a high dose of excitement and fun activities on October 28, 2021. They unveiled their hidden talents at this dazzling Diwali event. From setting the stage on fire with dance performances to leaving everyone in splits with their performances, SGTians did all.

The programme was organized by the Office Of Dean Students Welfare and University Cultural Committee. Chairperson of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust Smt. Madhurpreet Kaur Chawla, Pro-Chancellor of the university Prof. RC Kuhad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vikas Dhawan, Shareef Ahmed, Prof-Navdeep Singh and other dignitaries graced the occasion.

This Diwali event was brighter than ever before, and students even made rangolis. The campus was decorated with marigold garlands, paper lamps, and sparkling lights, highlighting the festive season.

This fiesta was commended with a lamp lighting ceremony by newly joined faculty members. After that, a classical dance on the theme “Rivers of India” was performed. A different type of Diwali celebration was shown by the students, and names of Talent @SGT finalists were also announced.

Diwali is a well-known Hindu festival that is celebrated all across the country. This five-day festival is celebrated from the 13th day of the dark half of the lunar month Ashvina to the second day of the light half of the lunar month Karttika, and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.
