SGT University staffer Gulam Husain Rizvi to do commentary in Indian Premier League
SGT University, Gurugram will be visible in this year’s Indian Premier League(IPL), starting on March 31, 2023. Mr. Gulam Husain Rizvi, a Creative Director with the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, at SGT University will be doing running commentary in this year’s IPL. Mr. Rizvi has been selected as a commentator for IPL 2023 in the Bhojhpuri Regional language. This will be the first time that IPL will be in the Bhojpuri dialect. This announcement has created quite a buzz in the media industry and among IPL fans. The first match of the IPL will be between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
Ever since Mr. Gulam joined SGT University, he has been provided a platform to showcase his creative talents, during this he has matured a lot both in his professional and personal life. He has done voice-over work in Hollywood, Bollywood, and Bhojpuri movies, and many Documentaries. He has the unique talent to mimic the voices of cartoon characters.
Mr. Rizvi said that he always believed that his innate talent and passion for voice-over, and has paid off. His creative inspirations have been Ameen Sayani, Shammi Narang, and Vishwas Kapoor.
Mr. Rizvi got to know that he got selected for IPL on 26th February 2023. Mr. Rizvi said his mother Shamshad Begum and father Mohd. Azimuudin were highly emotional upon hearing this good news. She added: “His childhood dream was to play cricket. The next best thing was to be part of IPL in doing what he loved – voice-over. “
