SGT University students spread awareness on environment through street play

Gurugram, December 11

Torque Club, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, SGT University in collaboration with Office of Student Welfare organized an outreach community program on Friday under AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV. Faculty & students with a total strength of about 36 personnel, visited Village Devar Khana, near SGT University campus, Haryana. During this visit, the students interacted with villagers and performed Nukkad Natak with a theme, “Saving our environment” with a mission to spread awareness about Green engineering, electric vehicles, use of Solar energy etc. Faculty also got the chance to disseminate their expert opinions on the issue. The audience included elderly and adults of the village, house working ladies and school kids.

The villagers also asked questions and explained some of their daily basis problems. These problems were addressed very efficiently by faculty and students combined efforts. Ongoing projects in the university were introduced to the audience and new ideas were generated during this interaction.
