SGT University Launches Study Circle with Inspiring Inaugural Lecture
SGT University took a significant step towards fostering intellectual dialogue and meaningful discussions by inaugurating the SGT विश्वविद्यालय स्वाध्याय-मंडल (Study Circle). The first lecture of this newly established forum focused on the thought-provoking theme, “विकसित भारत में हमारा योगदान” (Our Contribution to a Developed India), bringing together students, faculty members, and university leaders for an engaging academic session.
The inaugural lecture was delivered by Honourable Shri Ramlal Ji, the Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In his address, he emphasized the importance of every citizen’s role in shaping a developed and self-reliant India. He explained that nation-building is not solely the responsibility of governments; it also relies on the everyday actions, values, and commitments of individuals. Stressing the need for social harmony, discipline, and a nation-first mindset, he encouraged everyone to make positive contributions in their respective fields.
The program was honored by the presence of Padma Bhushan Shri Ram Bahadur Rai Ji, the Honourable Chancellor of SGT University. In his address, he highlighted the significance of establishing a Study Circle at the university, describing it as a platform to promote continuous learning, thoughtful discussion, intellectual curiosity, and informed decision-making among students. He also urged young minds to cultivate a habit of reading, questioning, and engaging in constructive dialogue, which are essential qualities for responsible citizens.
The event was also attended by Shri Manmohan Singh Chawla, the Honourable Managing Trustee, Shri Raj Kumar Bhatia, a Member of the Governing Body, and Prof. (Dr.) B. J. Rao, Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, along with senior university officials, faculty members, and students.
The launch of the Swadhyay Mandal marks the beginning of a new academic initiative aimed at creating a vibrant space for exchanging ideas and discussing issues of national importance. Through regular lectures and interactive sessions, the university hopes to inspire students to think critically, remain socially aware, and contribute meaningfully to society.
With this inaugural session, SGT University reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also responsible leadership and active citizenship, thus preparing students to become thoughtful contributors to the vision of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
