SGT University’s Faculty of Agricultural Sciences Hosts Insightful Open Access Publishing Workshop
SGT University’s Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized a highly informative one-day workshop titled ‘Open Access Publishing’ in collaboration with the Research and Development Council. The event took place on March 18, 2024, attracting a diverse audience of faculty members, students, and scholars from various educational institutions. This hybrid workshop was marked by active participation and enriching discussions. Distinguished speakers such as Dr. Mohit Garg from IIT Delhi, Mr. Rupinder Singh from the Central University of Punjab, and Ms. Devika Goel from the Public Knowledge Project delivered engaging talks and conducted technical sessions, offering valuable insights into open publishing practices. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into practical aspects of open publishing, including the utilization of platforms like OJS (Open Journal Systems). The sessions covered a wide range of topics such as platform installation, journal setup, effective submission management, peer review processes, and efficient content publication strategies.
