The Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a dental check-up and treatment camp at Ramjilal Public school-Bamnola, Jhajjar

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University
organized a dental check-up and treatment camp on 26th May 2023 (Friday) at Ramjilal
Public school-Bamnola, Jhajjar in association with SGT university team.
The dental team was headed by Dr. Ankita Yadav (Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health
Dentistry) along with 2 postgraduates students Dr. Parika and Dr Mansi (Dept. of
Pedodontics) and 5 interns Ishaan, Jatin, Asha, Komal, and Rekha. Mr. Darshan accompanied
the dental team.
Dental checkup of 74 students which included 30 boys and 44 girls was done.Oral health talk
was rendered focusing on the importance of maintenance of oral hygiene, toothbrushing
techniques, dental-related adverse habits and their consequences, progression, and treatment of
typical oral health diseases in children.
In addition to the screening and health talk, a demonstration of the toothbrushing technique
was given. All the students from classes Prenursery to 8th class participated actively with
enthusiasm in each organized activity. The school authority appreciated the efforts of all the
dental team members.
The camp concluded with high hope that the team has moved a step forward in creating an
orally healthier community.
