The Faculty of Dental Sciences organized a dental as well as medical camp at Sangel village.

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University in collaboration with the SGT Publicity Team organized a dental as well as medical camp on 22nd April 2023 (Saturday) at Sangel village, Nuh. The dental team was headed by Dr. Surbhi Priyadarshi (Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Public Health Dentistry) along with 2 postgraduate students Dr. Nistha (Dept. of Periodontics), Dr
Vaishali (Dept. of Prosthodontics) and 6 interns Ragini, Ishaan, Mansi, Diksha, Livanshi, and Asha. Mr. Sunil and Mr. Darshan (Attendant) accompanied us. A dental checkup of 71 individuals including 28 males and 43 females from different age groups was done. Twenty-one individuals were provided basic treatment, including partial oral prophylaxis and restorations in the mobile dental van at the campsite. Positive feedback was obtained from many patients who underwent treatment. However rigorous cases requiring complex treatment were referred to SGT Dental College. All patients were given referral slips. The patients had ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to learn about oral diseases. The importance of maintaining good oral health was verbally delivered to the patients. An oral hygiene kit consisting of a toothpaste, tooth brush and mouthwash was distributed to the needy population. Along with this, medicines including analgesics, antibiotics and multivitamins were distributed at the camp site. With the involvement of every single member of the dental team and their enormous efforts, motive of the dental camp was achieved to its maximum.
