Association of Neuro-Rehabilitation under the banner of the Faculty of Physiotherapy organized a
seminar on “Electrical Enlightening of Cortex through non-invasive brain stimulation (tDCS)” on 25 th
March, 2023 at Hospital Auditorium. The event began with Saraswati pooja to seek blessings of
Goddess of knowledge. Dr. Pooja Anand, (Dean and Prof.) Faculty of Physiotherapy welcomed
today's guest speaker Dr. Shefali Shah and the guest of honour Dr. Atul Nasa, Pro-vice chancellor,
SGT University. Seminar started with a theory session in which Dr. Shefali very deeply and intricately
explained the mechanics and application of this non-invasive brain stimulating modality. She also
enlightened about the current research trends and its importance in rehabilitation of various
neurological and psychological conditions. Students actively participated and interacted with the
resource person throughout the talk. At the end a brief demonstration on the usage of technique
was done. The event ended with a thank you note by Dr. Pooja Anand. Dr. Saurabh coordinated the
event. Overall, it was an enthralling and enlightening experience for both the students and the
faculty members about this new and lesser-known therapeutic modality.
