Kunal Kapoor Launches MetaGO for Long-Term Metabolic Health Care

Actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor has entered the healthcare industry with the launch of MetaGO, a doctor-led platform aimed at helping individuals manage obesity and metabolic disorders through long-term medical care. Rather than promoting quick weight-loss solutions, MetaGO emphasizes continuous treatment, expert supervision, and healthy lifestyle changes that can lead to lasting results.

MetaGO has been co-founded by Kapoor, alongside Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala, the team behind the healthcare crowdfunding platform Ketto. Drawing from years of experience supporting families facing serious illnesses, the founders observed a common trend: many patients struggling with diabetes, heart disease, and obesity-related complications had untreated underlying metabolic conditions.

The platform offers an integrated healthcare model that begins with specialist consultations and detailed metabolic assessments, covering over 35 biomarkers. Based on these results, patients receive personalized treatment plans that may include nutrition counseling, fitness coaching, behavioral support, and regular clinical monitoring. Where medically appropriate, treatment may also incorporate GLP-1 therapies, a newer class of medications that help regulate appetite and blood sugar levels. However, the company emphasizes that medication is just one component of a much broader healthcare plan.

Speaking about the motivation behind MetaGO, Kapoor explained that his time at Ketto exposed him to thousands of families grappling with preventable health conditions. He believes many of these cases could have been managed earlier with timely diagnosis and consistent medical guidance instead of waiting until the disease became severe.

The launch of MetaGO coincides with a global evolution in obesity treatment. New medications have expanded options for patients, yet healthcare professionals continue to stress that optimal outcomes arise when medication is combined with regular medical supervision, improved nutrition, physical activity, and long-term follow-up.

India is experiencing a growing awareness of obesity and metabolic health, as lifestyle-related diseases continue to rise. At the same time, regulators have increased oversight of awareness campaigns involving prescription medications to ensure responsible communication.

With MetaGO, the founders aim to make evidence-based metabolic care more accessible and encourage individuals to look beyond quick weight-loss trends. The platform strives to support people throughout their health journeys by combining modern medicine with personalized care, helping them develop healthier habits that can enhance their quality of life over time.
