Department of Radiodiagnosis under Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, SGT University Holds Hands-on Workshop on ‘CT & MRI in Head & Neck Cases’

Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences organized a Hands-on Workshop on ‘CT & MRI in Head & Neck Cases’ on 17 February 2022 at the Hospital auditorium. The workshop was conducted by an eminent radiologist & senior faculty Dr. Jyoti Kumar, Director-Professor, Department of Radiodiagnosis, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Dr (Professor) Jyoti Kumar explained the finer intricacies of localizing & interpreting various interesting abnormalities involving the head & neck to specific compartments and diagnosing them using a systemic algorithmic approach on CT & MRI. The highly interactive participation of the residents from various specialties facilitated understanding of the algorithmic approach in a simplified manner of complex problems. The workshop generated enthusiastic participation and was immensely useful for the residents and junior faculty. Dr Reena Nayyar, Executive Director, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences and Faculty of Nursing inaugurated the workshop and also delivered the welcome address. Dr BB Sharma, Professor & HOD, Dept of Radiodiagnosis briefed the participants about the workshop. Dr (Brigadier) Chander Mohan, SM, Director Hospital Administration & Professor, Dept of Radiodiagnosis briefed the participants about professional expertise & immense contribution by the renowned faculty to the field of radiology. The professionally enriching academic program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr Monu Sarin, Professor (Radiodiagnosis).
