In a recent video, Diljit Dosanjh, the renowned Punjabi singer and actor, was seen dancing joyfully to the beats of Himachali folk songs. Known for his charismatic performances, Diljit has captured the hearts of people not just in the Punjabi film industry but also in Bollywood with his soulful songs.
Recently, Diljit visited Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, where he danced to the local folk songs along with the indigenous people, immersing himself in their culture and traditions. He shared glimpses of his colorful experience on social media, where he appeared adorned in the vibrant hues of the mountains.
During the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Diljit explored the festivities in Himachal Pradesh, witnessing how the locals celebrate their traditions. He spent time in a small town, mingling with the residents, as seen in his Instagram posts where he greeted people with folded hands. In one clip, he can be seen dancing with the locals to the tune of a traditional song, expressing his enjoyment with the caption, “I experienced a different dance today. I had a blast doing the Himachali Jhumar.”
Diljit’s versatility extends beyond music and dance. He is set to play the lead role in the upcoming biopic “Amar Singh Chamkila,” directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film, also starring Parineeti Chopra, is scheduled to release on April 12 on Netflix.
