Faculty Development Programme on e-content organised in SGT University

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organized jointly by the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology began in the SGT University, Gurugram from Thursday.

During this week-long FDP, the faculty members of the University will be provided training to create e-lecture for their students.

Inaugurating the FDP, Prof Sushil Manav, Dean of Mass Communication and Media Technology, said that cases of Covid-19 have surged exponentially during the third wave of the pandemic forcing the government to close offline classes for colleges and universities.

He said that the top management of the University has taken a decision to restart the recording of e-lectures by the faculty members.

In a meeting organised on Wednesday, Prof Vikas Dhawan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) had told all faculty members to create at least 3 e-lectures every month.

During this FDP, the participating faculty members will be provided training in voice modulation by creative artist Gulam Husain, Camera facing techniques by Mohini, and lectures on camera handling and video editing by Kranti Anand and Asif Hussain, both assistant professors.

The faculty will also be provided training on how to upload their e-lectures on learning management system (LMS).
