Faculty of Physiotherapy organizes a Hands-on Workshop on Bio-statistical Analysis on Statistical Package For The Social Sciences Software

Day 1 of the event was organized on 25th May 2023 in D- Block, SGT University by
Association of Sports Health and Fitness, Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University,
Gurugram, Haryana.
Honorable resource persons Dr. Shekhar Grover and Dr. Tanu Anand were invited for the
event and Professor and Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science of SGT University Prof. M.
Ejaz Husain was invited as a Guest of Honour.
The program started with a guest receiving at the Faculty of Physiotherapy at 10 am followed by a
lamp lighting ceremony with auspicious hands of the dignitaries Dr. Pooja Anand, Dr. Shekhar
Grover, Dr. Tanu Anand, Dr. Siddhartha Sen, Dr Sonia.
Right after the lamp-lighting ceremony, the honorable dean of FPHY Dr. Pooja Anand was
invited on the stage to deliver a few words on the event.
Following the speech, honorable resource persons were felicitated with a sapling by Dean Dr.
Pooja Anand and with a memento by Prof. M. Ejaz Husain respectively.
After the felicitation ceremony, Prof. M. Ejaz Husain was invited on the stage to share a few
words.
Then the most awaited session started as Dr. Tanu Anand shared a few words. It was
followed by the introductory lecture by Dr Shekhar Grover sir.
He enlightened the room with a detailed introduction to SPSS software, Data and
variable view, Data entry, and importing-exporting of data.
After the lunch break, the session was continued by Dr. Shekhar and Dr. Tanu Anand
about calculating frequencies, descriptive analysis, cross-tabulation, and calculating
normality of data.
A concluding comment was given by Dr Pooja Bhati and the event will be further
continued with the rest of the techniques on 26th May 2023 from 9.30 am onwards.
