Festivities blended with cultural diversity pervade SGT on ‘Radha-Krishna Sang Phool Ki Holi’

Roses, marigolds and a cultural melange boosting creativity adorned Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary (SGT) University on “Radha– Krishna Sang Phool Ki Holi” on Saturday.
Festive spirit pervaded the campus with Padma Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, Chancellor of SGT University, Mrs Madhu Preet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, Mr Manmohan Singh Chawla, Managing Trustee of Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, Dr Dinesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi and Professor Unnat Pandit from Jawaharlal Nehru University gracing the occasion.

The fiesta brought different cultures together with students performing folk dances and the maelstrom of colours juxtaposed with traditional silhouettes keeping one and all glued to their chairs.
Be it classical or contemporary dance, the finesse captivated spectators and drew applause.
Summing up the gala affair was the flower shower with the entry of Radha and Krishna, and subsequently everyone breaking into celebration.
The most fascinating part of the annual feature is that it is centered around environmental conservation theme with redolence of marigolds replacing colours and water.
The campus was a sight to behold and the cultural diversity a delight.
In the previous years too, the festival has been celebrated with gaiety. Descriptive narration of students’ experiences about the university’s positive environment and how they prep up for the event showcase their zeal. Be it academia or curricular activities, the university has always raised the bar.
