India Shines at 2nd Asian Yogasana Championship with Record 83 Gold Medals

India delivered an extraordinary performance at the 2nd Asian Yogasana Sport Championship, clinching a record-breaking 83 gold medals and establishing its dominance in the world of yogasana. The event was hosted at the prestigious KD Jadhav Arena, located within the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.

India’s athletes showcased impeccable skills and discipline throughout the competition, leading the medal tally by a massive margin and setting a new benchmark in the championship’s history. Their stunning performance not only demonstrated the country’s strength in yoga but also enhanced India’s international reputation in the field of yoga sports.

The championship concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony attended by several dignitaries. Shri Harsh Malhotra, Hon’ble Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Government of India, and Shri Ajay Chaudhary, Additional Commissioner of Police, Delhi, graced the occasion with their presence, appreciating the athletes’ hard work and dedication.

Adding further prestige to the ceremony, senior officials from the Asian Yogasana Federation and the World Yogasana Federation were also present. The closing event began with Umang Dawn, Secretary General of Asian Yogasana, warmly welcoming all attendees. This was followed by an address by Dr. Sanjay Malpani, President of Asian Yogasana, who highlighted the significant achievements of the championship and congratulated all participants.

India’s historic success at the 2nd Asian Yogasana Championship has not only celebrated the spirit of yoga as a sport but also inspired a new generation to pursue excellence in yogasana at the international level.
