SGT University dons turn learners; get tips on voice modulation, camera techniques

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organized jointly by the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology and the Faculty of Engineering of the SGT University continued on its second day on Friday.

In this training program, the participating faculty members of different departments got training in voice modulations and camera-facing techniques for creating e-lectures for their students in view of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Dr. Arvind Mathur, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, today launched the second part of the FDP – training on techniques to upload e-lectures on the learning management portal (LMP).

On the second day of FDP in the Faculty of Mass Communications, Creative Director Gulam Husain came up with the training on Voice Modulation Techniques. He explained the key techniques of voice modulation, use of high and low pitch, speed etc.

Creative Director Mohini Sungar elucidated the participants on Camera Facing Technique. She threw light on the tactic of presentation, confidence, gesture, and style in front of the camera.

The faculty was also be provided training on social media and Video Editing as well by Asif Hussain, an Assistant Professor.

The program is inaugurated by Prof Sushil Manav Dean of Mass Communication and Media Technology, on Thursday.

Earlier, Prof (Dr) Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University had announced this programme, and had directed faculty members across the university to create at least 3 e-contents per month.
