SGT University holds oral health camp in Rohtak school

SGT Dental College, Hospital & Research Institute, SGT University conducted an oral health camp drive on December 20, 2021, at J P International School, Rohtak in collaboration with SGTU Student Outreach Team.

The team visited the school in continuation to their similar activity conducted on December 16, 2021, at the same school.

The Dental team was headed by Dr. Sachin Chand (Associate Professor), Dr. Sugandha, Dr. Tabita (postgraduates – Department of Pedodontics) along with 5 Interns (Priyanka, Vidhi, Sachin, Saksham & Tejas) and 1 Attendant Sombir.

In the duration of three hours of the camp, 135 students were examined.

Oral Health Education was imparted regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through brushing techniques, models, and charts.

The session was concluded by giving an oral health education speech to the participated people. The purpose of the Oral Health talk was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health care.

The main oral findings seen in the children were dental caries, dental deposits, fluorosis, and retained deciduous teeth. All students were advised to seek appropriate consent for further treatment from their parents and those who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further treatment.
