SGT University’s Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in Gurugram recently hosted a distinguished delegation from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS). This visit marked an important step towards strengthening international collaboration in agricultural education, innovation, and sustainable farming practices.
The delegation came to the university to explore opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, and long-term partnerships aimed at addressing global agricultural challenges. Discussions primarily focused on sustainable agriculture, agritech innovation, and food security solutions that could contribute to the future development of farming worldwide.
Recognized as the first ICAR-accredited private university in Delhi-NCR and Haryana, SGT University emphasized its growing role in international academic cooperation and agricultural research. Representatives from all participating institutions exchanged ideas on research-driven innovation and collaborative learning opportunities for both students and faculty members.
A key highlight of the visit was the emphasis on student and faculty mobility programs.
