SGT University Organizes Workshop On ‘Connect With Work’

The Rubicon and Barclays organizations organized three days’ workshop at SGT University on Friday to inculcate basics for better placement among students.

The motto of this workshop was “Connect with Work.”

Non-Medical students of the varsity participated in the workshop. The faculty of Engineering, Management, Sciences, Fashion, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Mass Communication also participated in this workshop.

Several experts and trainers spoke about the challenges freshers may face during their work. Besides this, they also talked about Organizational Structure, Public Speaking, Presentation Skills, E-Mail Etiquette, Grooming, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview. So, the students are aware of the basics etiquettes before getting job opportunities or placement in any organization.

Rubicon’s “Life skills” Program, supported by Barclays, aims at improving the employability skills of the youths. This initiative is supported by Barclays. Under this program, students got Corporate Trainers to enhance their life skills which helped them significantly to increase their chance of succeeding in a job interview.

During their Life Skills program, the experts of Rubicon, supported by Barclays, organized classroom training on Interview Skills of Organizational Structure. Experts said that their work is to make an arrangement like industry visits of students to various organizations, Post-Placement Mentoring and Career Counselling support to place students for one year.
