Unlocking the Future of Justice: SADRC Boot Camp 1.0 at SGT University Empowers Legal Innovators

SGT University’s Faculty of Law recently turned the spotlight on innovative legal solutions with the launch of SADRC Boot Camp 1.0. This exciting two-day camp brought together aspiring legal minds to “explore the better alternatives” through hands-on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) training. Packed with interactive sessions, real-world role plays, and engaging activities, the boot camp offered participants a fresh perspective on resolving disputes without stepping into a courtroom.

Adv. Daisy Pallawi, an expert in ADR, joined the camp as a guest speaker, sharing her inspiring journey into the field. She conducted a mediation session, guiding students through the format, objectives, and memorial drafting process. The event concluded with a preview of the upcoming SADRC Championship, encouraging participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a competitive setting.

The event began with an inaugural ceremony led by Dr. Richa Chaudhary, Dean of the Faculty of Law, alongside Mr. Sourav Karmakar, Faculty Advisor of SADRC. The ceremony included a welcome address highlighting the significance of ADR in the modern legal landscape. Faculty members introduced the SADRC team and outlined the goals of the Boot Camp, including the upcoming SADRC Championship.

Following the inauguration, the camp featured an interactive ice-breaking session where participants engaged in group discussions and field activities. Designed to enhance networking and communication skills, students collaborated in teams, sharing their insights on ADR and its role in modern law.

The Boot Camp’s core sessions focused on various aspects of ADR, including negotiation techniques and mediation practices. Students actively participated in discussions, field activities, and real-life role plays to understand these processes better. The importance of ADR as a solution to the delays in the judicial system was emphasized, along with its growing opportunities in the legal field.
