On April 25th, 2023, nursing students from SGT University’s Bridgewell Association conducted
a Nukkad Natak in a Gurugram school to raise awareness about preventing diarrhea in children.
The play covered the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of diarrhea, with different
roles such as a doctor, parent, child, and community member. Visual aids and props were used to
demonstrate proper hygiene practices like handwashing and boiling water. The importance of
exclusive breastfeeding, nutrition, and ORS administration was emphasized. The play was well-
received, and the nursing students provided practical tips to overcome hygiene and sanitation
challenges. The performance was successful in communicating the message and attracting a
large audience. The initiative will contribute to reducing the burden of diarrhea among under-
five children in the community. The Nukkad Natak conducted by BSc Nursing 3 rd year students
under the guidance of Ms. Jyoti Shokeen, Assistant Professor, FON, SGT University and Ms.
